App Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your use of the Carebrain mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to comply with this Policy.
Carebrain, Inc. ("Carebrain," "we," "us," or "our") provides healthcare technology solutions designed for post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) providers. The App includes features such as AI-powered medical documentation, telehealth capabilities, and clinical workflow tools.
2. Authorized Users
The App is intended for use by:
- Licensed healthcare professionals (physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants)
- Healthcare organizations that have entered into a service agreement with Carebrain
- Authorized staff members of healthcare organizations using Carebrain services
You must be authorized by your healthcare organization to use the App. Unauthorized access or use is strictly prohibited.
3. Permitted Uses
You may use the App for the following purposes:
- Clinical documentation using AI-assisted medical scribe functionality
- Conducting telehealth visits with patients
- Reviewing and managing patient information within the scope of your professional duties
- Generating clinical notes, orders, and documentation
- Communicating with other authorized healthcare providers through the platform
- Accessing educational and reference materials
4. Protected Health Information (PHI)
The App may process Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). You agree to:
- Access PHI only as necessary to perform your job duties
- Never share your login credentials or allow unauthorized access to PHI
- Report any suspected unauthorized access or security incidents immediately
- Comply with your organization's privacy and security policies
- Follow all applicable federal, state, and local privacy laws
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:
- Accessing patient information without a valid clinical or operational reason
- Sharing, selling, or disclosing PHI in violation of HIPAA or other applicable laws
- Using the App for any purpose other than authorized clinical and operational activities
- Attempting to circumvent security measures or access controls
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the App
- Using the App to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Copying, modifying, or distributing the App or its content without authorization
- Using the App while impaired or in situations that could compromise patient safety
- Recording, screenshotting, or otherwise capturing patient information for unauthorized purposes
- Accessing the App from unsecured networks or devices
6. Clinical Responsibility
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT THE APP IS A TOOL TO ASSIST HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS AND DOES NOT REPLACE PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL JUDGMENT. You remain solely responsible for:
- All clinical decisions and patient care
- Reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before finalizing documentation
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical records
- Maintaining appropriate standards of care
- Complying with all applicable professional standards and regulations
7. Device and Security Requirements
To use the App, you must:
- Use a device that meets minimum security requirements as specified by Carebrain
- Keep your device's operating system and the App updated to the latest versions
- Enable device-level security features (passcode, biometric authentication)
- Not use jailbroken or rooted devices
- Use only secure, trusted network connections
8. Monitoring and Enforcement
We reserve the right to monitor App usage to ensure compliance with this Policy and applicable laws. Violations may result in:
- Immediate suspension or termination of your access to the App
- Notification to your employing organization
- Reporting to regulatory authorities or law enforcement as required
- Legal action for damages or injunctive relief
9. Changes to This Policy
We may modify this Policy at any time. You will be notified of material changes through the App or by other means. Continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
